Bill Collins started in industrial sales in 1972 with Clipper Abrasives, a coated abrasive manufacturer located in Rockland, MA after graduating from Boston University. Bill started out in the production area and ultimately went into sales. Bill was District Manager for New England and later Regional Manager for the Northeast during his thirteen years of employment with them. Bill left Clipper in 1983 just prior to their acquisition by Carborundum and purchased Laird de Vou, an industrial distributor specializing in abrasives and cutting tools. Bill sold Laird de Vou and started Industrial Technologies.
Industrial Technologies is a manufacturer's rep agency specializing in abrasives, cutting tools and related items. Located in Hingham, MA, Bill Collins and Tom Johnson cover the six New England states and Eastern New York. Between Bill and Tom they have over sixty years of experience in engineering solutions for your grinding, polishing, machining and manufacturing problems. Bill and Tom also have extensive experience in corrosion prevention. Industrial Technologies has two outside salesmen, Bill and Tom as well as an inside salesperson to help you with your industrial needs.
Tom Johnson started his career in industrial sales in 1970 with Morse Cutting Tools. He went on to work with Hammar Industrial and Cardinal Cutting Tools before becoming an independent sales representative. Tom has covered general industry and manufacturing and metal working industries. Tom has worked with general line industrial distributors as well as specialty tool distributors. Tom teamed up with Bill Collins of Industrial Technologies approximately one year ago and covers Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Northern New Jersey, Metropolitan New York and New Jersey. Tom and Bill have over sixty years of experience in industrial sales.
